Coupon Recipe Contest
WIN $50 Cash!

What is a coupon recipe?  I’m glad you asked!

A Coupon Recipe is instructions for a dish you prepare that uses two or more ingredients that are often purchased using coupons.  For instance – your favorite spaghetti recipe using pasta and sauce you got for less $$$ because you used coupons.  Or maybe a delicious side dish you make for your family using coupons for frozen vegetables and seasonings.  Desserts are good too – maybe something you make using Betty Crocker or Pillsbury coupons?

The recipes will be combined into a Coupon Recipe Cookbook EBook which we will publish shortly after the contest ends on 2/7/2011.  Each person who submits a recipe will receive a free copy of the cookbook.  Each recipe is also an entry for the submitter in the $50 cash drawing.

RULES:

You can submit as many recipes as you want but they cannot be copied from any cookbook, website or product label.    If you start with one of those type of recipes you can use the ingredient list but not the instructions.  If you’re not sure if it can be considered your original recipe add “adapted from” and give the source where you found it.

Submit recipes to my email – mom@momsaves.com with Recipe Contest in the subject line.  I will not be able to acknowledge each submission but you can email me if you have questions about your entry.

Please include your first name and state where you live so you can be credited for the recipe in the cookbook.  If you want to include your picture or a picture you took of the dish after you made it – that would be great.

Start sending those recipes TODAY!

Some areas did not get the Brita coupon today and some people are reporting that the rebate form has already been pulled from the Brita site.

I have a good supply of the 1/15 SS with this coupon (a many more great ones!) so I’m offering a special deal with each order from the MomSaves Coupon Organizer HDQ Shoppe.  While supplies last each order will receive the full uncut SS 1/15 insert (with the Brita coupon) and the rebate form as a FREE BONUS.

Coupon and rebate are good until 3/31/2012.

Happy New Year Everyone! Holidays are over and it’s time to get back into the fun stuff – you know – cleaning house and washing dishes. Not feeling it? I sure can identify with that!

But if we have to clean – we need some cleaning product coupons – right? I was scouring (get the pun???) the web today for printables and found these goodies on ScotchBrite.com. There are 3 different printables HERE and two of them are PDFs. That means there is no limit on how many times you can print them. But there’s a catch – the coupon states “you can redeem one coupon per day” so don’t plan on filling your cart full and clearing the shelves like on Extreme Couponing. TIP: take these the next time you go to Walmart – that $1 coupon might get you a good deal if they carry the bathroom sponge.

While you’re on the ScotchBrite website you might want to the Cleaning Personality Quiz. I love the choices.

If you are a fan of the TLC series “Extreme Couponing” – or if you just like to see what couponing would be like if we didn’t have to follow store coupon policies (like using an unlimited number of “like” coupons) you might want to tune in tomorrow night at 10 (9 central) for the new “Extreme Couponing All Stars”. From the short preview HERE it looks like the old “Supermarket Sweeps” show with coupons.

If you’re not familiar with the X-Box Live Gold subscription – here’s a short list of what you can do:

  • Xbox LIVE® is the online subscription for your Xbox 360®.
  • Play Kinect™ and controller games online with friends wherever they are.
  • Watch thousands of HD movies and TV shows instantly from Netflix.
  • Watch any current season episode of dozens of popular TV shows with Hulu Plus.

  • Keep in touch with friends with Facebook and Twitter, right on your TV.

Chex is my favorite cereal so I was thrilled to find this $1.50/2 coupon on their MakeChexRecipes.com website along with some great Chex Mix recipes. Wheat Chex has always been my favorite of the Chex cereals but have you tried the Cinnamon Chex? They are terrific and also gluten free!

Don’t forget – you can print this coupon twice by hitting your back key after it prints the first time.
