The “in” thing for serious couponers is a zipper binder with clear vinyl pages to display their coupons. On my website I have instructions on how to put together Mom’s Build-It-Yourself Coupon Organizer Binder.

You can always use one of the kid’s leftover school binders to organize your coupons but maybe you want to have your very own brand-new zipper binder to hold those precious coupons. With school supplies already showing up on store shelves it’s a good time to find one at a good price.

Here are some tips on what to look for when shopping for your zipper binder:

1. Zipper slides easily – look for reinforced or heavy duty zipper

2. Rings close properly – look for sturdy rings that are a little
hard to open

3. Binder when unzipped opens flat without straining the zipper

4. Pockets that you can actually use – some are so small or tight
they aren’t usable
