Are you a “wheel watcher”?
It’s really a very educational show. For instance – you can skip Modeling School because Vanna will teach you how to glide across a stage in a gorgeous dress without tripping over the hem. A lesson I wish I had learned before several skinned knees and embarassing moments in my life.
Then there’s Pat – every contestant’s friend. His skill in spinning that wheel just right on the last spin where it will land on the $5000 mark would come in very handy in Las Vegas. I wonder if he has online classes?
And for us older folks (not OLD – just OLDER) there’s the benefit of keeping our brains exercised trying to solve all those puzzles. I’ve heard that’s important as you get older – just wish I could remember where I heard it.
But yesterday was the all time best educational Wheel of Fortune ever. You had to watch to the end of the show – but it was definitely worth it. You missed it? Well, I guess I can share my newly acquired knowledge with you.
Vanna taught Pat how to peel a banana!
Now I’m not being sarcastic here – it was great. Vanna’s instructions came straight from a very reliable source – monkeys. Know how hard it is to start the peel on your banana when you bend the top of the stem? Sometimes it won’t split open – and if it does that end gets all mushy (Pat’s words). Well – Vanna showed us that monkeys start peeling from the bottom of the banana. I tried it this morning and sure enough – it’s super easy to peel it that way!!
